Foodzone v2 released!

We are super excited to release the second version of foodzone. It is a completely new system from the ground up and has allowing us to add some cool new features and create the opportunity for more.

You can get started at https://foodzone.io

New features:

  • Drag and drop foods between days
  • Multi day view
  • Sharing diaries with others
  • New database including FoodFiles and Australian Food Composition (aka NUTTAB)
  • Custom targets
  • Monthly subscriptions
  • Faster food entry
  • Timezone aware diaries
  • Gmail and Facebook login and better password reset
  • Responsive layout works on a phone

Road map to the future:

  • Recipes including reports and images
  • Mobile app for client entry
  • Brand foods and user suggestions
  • Meal plans
  • Exercise recording

The old system will still be available to those who had an account from before at https://legacy.foodzone.com.au. The data will not be synced to the new system and we plan to turn it off at the end of the year so best to not use it from now on.

Thanks to the foodzone team including Duncan Hunter, Michael De Marco, Frank Xie, Wai Liu and the many others who helped test and provide feedback along the way! In particular a huge thank you to Michael who over many fun days of coding and rockclimbing did a lot of the work and design of the new system.
